May 2nd Invasive Plant Removal Day

Invasive Plant Removal

Saturday, May 2, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Chesapeake Arboretum
624 Oak Grove Road
Chesapeake, VA 23320

What to Wear: Closed toe shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, gloves and eye protection.
What to Bring: Loppers, pruners, shovels, bug spray and water.

We will be working on two trails opposite the farmhouse headquarters and the stewartia grove.

Targets will be English ivy and ligustrum. Be aware that we will be working around poison ivy.

We will be working with volunteers from Chesapeake Master Gardeners, Tidewater Master Naturalists, the Arboretum and Norfolk Southern Corp.

Dr. Kirwan hopes to have second printing copies of this book available for sale at less than retail
cost.
